AUSTIN, Texas?-- An Austin entrepreneur bought an old Texas ghost town and announced his plans to rename it something he hopes will be more appealing: Bikinis.
The town's current name is Bankersmith. It is located about six miles from Lukenbach and about 10 miles from Fredericksburg.
Doug Guller, founder of ATX Brands, bought the land on Craigslist.
ATX Brands also owns the Bikinis franchise, as well as the Parish and other hot spots in Austin.
Guller hopes to host the first Bikinis, Texas event in the fall.
